What information to do you need to place an order?

Please include as much of the following information with your request as possible.

  • What size is needed or number of people to be served

  • Flavors of cake, icing, and filling

  • Decoration preference (if you have pictures or samples that is great)

  • If you want writing included please specify what you’d like it to say

  • The requested by date

What is the difference between buttercreams?

I have two different styles of buttercream on my menu that I regularly use for cakes. The most common is a meringue style buttercream that is more smooth and less sweet. The second that I offer is called American style buttercream that is the crusting, sugary-sweet kind that you would find on typical grocery store cakes. The American style holds up better in warmer temperatures if that is a concern for you.

Does the cake need refrigerated?

If the cake is topped with whipped cream frosting or contains pastry cream, curd, or some type of fruit filling, then it needs to stay refrigerated. If you are serving the cake on a different day then you will want to leave it in the fridge and then let it sit out for a few hours before serving. If the cake is being served the same day, there is usually no harm in leaving it out. It’s best to avoid serving cold cake whenever possible, since buttercream icing tastes best at room temperature.

Why are there no prices on your website?

Because I make all my orders custom, I price them according to how complex they are. Please feel free to send me a message with any inquiries.
